World’s 50 Best Restaurants

Quick post today- the next couple of weeks are going to be a bit light as I wrap up class for this semester and work gets a little crazy.

They announced the S. Pellegrino World’s 50 Best Restaurants last night and early this morning. The full list of this year’s winners can be found here.  First place went to Noma, a restaurant in Denmark known for its “fanatical approach to foraging.”  I was happy to see Alinea, the latest restaurant from Grant Achatz, take 6th place (highest-ranked U.S. restaurant also).

The awards are organized by the team at Restaurant Magazine, and  the list is compiled by an ‘Academy’ or “nfluential group of over 800 international leaders in the restaurant industry, each selected for their expert opinion of the international restaurant scene.”

Definitely going to be reading more about these restaurants in the coming days and hopefully making a list of ones to visit!
