Happy Bday Julia Child and DC Food Events This Week

Happy Bday Julia!

Today would be Julia Child’s 99th birthday if she were still with us. Julia is known for her renowned cookbook Mastering the Art of French Cooking in which she adapted French recipes for everyday Americans. She then went on to star in The French Chef TV series which was eventually syndicated on over 96 channels. The Julie & Julia novel and movie starring Meryl Streep  both created a recent revival of the groundbreaking celebrity chef and her contribution to the culinary world. The American History museum currently has her kitchen on display so pop on over today if you’d like to wish her a proper Bon Anniversaire!
